He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Donald and Donald Carl Sr. Donald; his daughter April Carl; and his sister Dawn Carl. He is survived by: his son Donald "Donnie" Carl III; and his sisters, LeQuetta Kennedy, Donna Griggs and Valerie Carl. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
