It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Allen McCoy (Spokane, Washington), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ellen McCoy. He is survived by: his father Douglas McCoy; his siblings, Blanche, Edie, Effie, George and James; his nephew George Jr.; his wife Mary Jane McCoy; his daughter Kim Pate Shelley Beavers (Clay); his grandchildren, Darrell (Erica), Darren, Daiytion II, Kari, LaShay (Nofo), Andrew, Shante, Kolton and Nayomie; his great grandchild Nyjah; and his sister Ethelyn "Sissy" Best of Queens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and several cherished cousins.
