He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruperto Cisneros and Anita Cisneros; and his brother Joseph Cisneros. He is survived by: his former wife Janelle Byrne; his son Gabrial Cisneros; his wife Brenda Cisneros; his siblings, Rupert Cisneros, Becky Searfoss and Maria Tejeda; his children, Angie Monroe (Dale Stewart) and David Kimball (Liz Gonzale); and his grandchildren, Addysen, Maddux Cisneros, Micah Monroe, Kayli, Amara Kimball and Nia Lopez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

After contracting the COVID-19 virus Esequiel became critically ill and was placed in the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital.
