She is survived by: her siblings, LaDonna Barrett and Veryl Steenburgen; and her children, Michael (Gaylene Merchant), Paul (Rebecca Merchant), Rhonda (Douglas Monson) and Lanith Whetstone. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day (401 W Regina Ave, Spokane, WA 99218). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Memorial (211 N Government Wy, Spokane, WA 99224).
Surrounded by loved ones, Glenda Marie Merchant died peacefully on October 3, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
