He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burritte Hittle, Sr. and Marilyn Maxine Balfour. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Newell; his daughters, Stephanie Newell and Jenny Newell; his stepchildren, Angela Grey and John Griffin; and his siblings, Roger Newell, Larry Walker, Ron Hittle and Betty Jacobson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.
