He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Moos and Clara Moos; and his brothers, Howard and Donald. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Polenske of Edwall; his children, Richard Moos (Sandra) and Mary Jo (Bruce); and his grandchildren, Kayla Soliday (Robb), Rychelle Wagner (Ian), Tyler Moos (Megan), Kelsey King (Ryan), Tiffany Cousins and Brandon (Morgan). He is also survived by Cousins; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In recognition of their dedication to responsible stewardship of the land and their contributions to the farming community, Lester and JoAnn were honored as the Davenport-Reardan Soil Conservation District Family of the Year in 1974.
