He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.

“I had the great honor and privilege to have gotten to know, and to have cared for Mike. I was lucky enough to be able to not only have cared for him, but also to have called him my friend. Mike was a very funny, caring, and kind man. He was very easy to talk to. I know there was more he would have liked to have been able to do in his life. But he made the best of his situation. I know he loved his family, friends, and especially his wife. The world is not the same without you. RIP”
