Tom Fagel wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Mickey Joe Mathias, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. He was an excellent principal at Boulevard Elementary School in Kokomo. Even as a very young student I had always admired him. He was a very special person and gift to the school system. I thought of him often. God called him home so he can have the rest he deserves.”

Elizabeth A Maxwell wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry for your loss....I have fond memories of Mr. Mathias. He was my principal at Boulevard Elementary School. I am now a teacher at Boulevard. In my early years of teaching there, I found one of his history kits on the shelf in the classroom. I will remember him as a smiling principal who was firm but loving.”
