He is survived by : his parents, Steve Pinkerton and Jodi Pinkerton (Rielly); his stepparents, Rick and Jen; his brother Cody; his niece Adalyn; his stepsiblings, Amber, Braden, Dillon, Lauren and Caitlin; his grandparents, Jerry, Carol and Sota; and his aunts and uncles, Julie, Dave, Kathy, David, Diana, Laurie, Tom, Christy and Jeff.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that remembrance be made in the form of donations to the Spokane Campus of Adult & Teen Challenge.
