She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Cowles, Jr. and Margaret Cowles (Paine); her brother William H. Cowles, 3rd; and her former husband Daniel A. Stein. She is survived by: her siblings, James P. Cowles (late Wanda) and Agnes Cowles Bourne; her siblings' children, William "Stacey" Cowles (Anne), Betsy Cowles (Jim Meyer), Jay Cowles (Kati), Heidi Girardoni (Johannes) and Edward Evans (Yohko); and her caregiver Don Brackins. She is also survived by many cousins, grand nieces and nephews.
