He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Elsie Sutton (Russell) and William Sutton; and his siblings, Vern Sutton, Lou Sutton, Wanda Tafoya, Carol Shaw, LaVonne Thomas and Florence Latting.

He is survived by : his wife Marianne Sutton; his children, Lesley Schmidt, Paco Sutton and Ben Sutton; and his siblings, Alfred Pease and Barbara Mankin. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
