He is survived by: his siblings, Pearlie Mae Bookman Mayers, Mary Bookman Dominick, Pervis James Bookman Sr., Joseph Bookman, Bessie Bookman Kinard, Teaner Bookman Billups and Bernice Bookman; his children, Sam Suber, Tyrone Bookman (Sue), Yolanda Lee (John), Joyce Boyd, Jerry Caldwell (Leila), Cheryl Bookman, Deborah Williams (Frank), Cathy Malone (David) and Thomas "Tommy" Bookman Jr. (Kirsten); and his close friend William "Bill" Flowers. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home. The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Memorial (211 N Government Wy, Spokane, WA 99224). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home.
