He was predeceased by: his parents, Florencio Marez and Filomena Marez (Lopez); and his grandsons, Nicholas Alfredo Marez and Ramon Verduzco. He is survived by: his children, Richard Marez (Ester), Belinda Marez (late Hector Gonzalez), Debbie Guerrero (Pedro) and Joshua Marez; and his grandchildren, Hector Tabarez (Lynsi), Joel Tabarez (Rosario), Celisia Morales (Manuel), Monica Calderon, Celeste Marez, Shalena Marez, Diego Vargas, Derek Marez, Josiah Marez and Alexa Marez.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (528 S 8th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 5th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (907 S 6th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944). Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 5th 2028 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (528 S 8th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944).
