It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Roach of Sunnyside, Washington, who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Leon and Evalyn Mae Roach (Rowin); his brother Jerry Roach; and his sons, Richard Patrick Roach and John Martin Roach.
He is survived by: his wife LuAnn; his children, Charlotte Haugland (Dan), Margie Cronin Salis (Ray), Mary Beth Scalise (Ray), Mary Jane Scheenstra (John), Joe Roach (Debbie), Sarah Wimmer (Tony), Jon Dowdy and Janene Palomarez; and his sister Shirley McCaffrey (William). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and five nieces.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (528 S 8th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944). A rosary will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
