He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Mary Matz (Frohlich); his sisters, Lorraine Anderson and Shirley Esterbrook; his son Steven Matz; and his grandson Brian Lemke.
He is survived by: his wife Leona; his children, Richard Matz, Joelene Lemke, Michele McLean (Mark) and Kristine Susee (Kelly); his daughter-in-law Laurie Matz; his grandchildren, Christopher (Heather), Jay, Jared (Autumn), Drew (Jena), Ryan (Brooke), Scott (Autumn), Alexander and Amber; his stepgrandchildren, Danelle and Lonnie; and his great grandchildren, Payton, Lucas, Nate, Shawn, Makay and Madison.
