He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward James Schaler Sr. and Lois V Schaler; and his brothers, Bobby and John Schaler. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Schaler; his children, Jennifer Rosentrater and Christopher Schaler; his grandchildren, Ashley Tarbutton Schaler, Collin Tarbutton, Nathanial Schaler and Cooper Rosentrater; and his siblings, Marylou (Bob), Peggy Lewis, Sherry Russell, Rose Shore, Terry (Sue), Tom, Ed, Bill (Stacie), Larry and Robbie Schaler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests donations be made to Saint Jude's, or any charities benefiting needy families and children.
