It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Anthony Palermo (Tacoma, Washington), born in Modesto, California, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Anthony; his parents, Joseph and Josephine; and his siblings, Anna Mae, Joanne and Ronald.

He is survived by: his wife Sally (Petranovich); and his children, Laurie (Randal), Joseph, Nicholas (Joann), Gina and Matthew (Amber). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Charles Borromeo Building Fund.

“Palermo Family- we are so sorry for your loss; we know it's a big one. There will be a giant Larry-sized hole in our neighborhood, too. He was an integral source of kindness, thoughtfulness, laughter and care on Firlands Drive. If he was outside working on his boat when we walked by, he would stop to say hello, tell a story, or listen to one of my kids'. He even stopped in at a March Madness party at our house to chat and watch a bit of basketball with us. That light leaves a legacy. -Emily Bosh”
