He is survived by: his mother Carol James; his children, Nick (Syd), Jake (Kylie), Jessie (Jake) and Nate James; his grandchildren, Sky and Scottie Jo (Kori Shaffer); his siblings, Susan (Dan), Peggy (Dan), Teresa (Bryan), Patrick and Michael (Jeni); and also Carol James.
