He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Hirsh (Kinsley) of Tacoma, WA; his parents, John Hirsh, Sr. and Julia Hirsh (Horvat); his brother John Hirsh, Jr.; and his niece Liz Hirsh.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Black (Randy) of Rochester, WA, Lori Daniels (Mike) of Parkland, WA, Vicki Johnson (Ray) of Ruston, WA and Karen Downard (Dave); his grandchildren, Derek Black (Heidi), Lauren Cole (Brandon), Ashley Sharp (Zack), Tyler Daniels (Eric Duquette), Katy, Ali, Max Downard and Taylor Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Cash Cole, Reese and Levi Black.
A rosary was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (7112 S 12th St, Tacoma, WA 98465). A Mass was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (5212 70th St W, Tacoma, WA 98467).
