With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thomas James Young of Tacoma, Washington, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Thomas left this world on October 31, 2025 at the age of 67, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John Young. He is survived by: his mother Kay Young; his wife Carolyn; his children, Samuel (Kira), Cassandra (Jedidiah), Joshua (Jessica), Rachel (Joshua), Timothy, Kaitlin (Brian), Nathan, Anna, Joel, Peter, Rebecca, Mark and Walter; and his brothers, Jefferey (Kimberly) and Steven. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Tom Young Memorial Fund at Resurrection Presbyterian Church which will support one last building project.

“Dr. Young was just not our doctor but also a friend. I remember when I first met him. He had come into my paint studio with about seven of the kids wanting to make Mother’s Day gifts for their mom. Then he had a kiln and a bunch of molds given to him. He had me show him how to operate the kiln. That was twenty two years ago. We are going to miss him and our heart goes out to his family.”
