He was predeceased by : his parents, Blayne Hanson and Beulah Hanson (Hanson); his half-sister Joan Hanson; and his stepfather Fred Rogers. He is survived by : his daughters, Laurin Kay (John Nitz) and Merrill Lee (Andy Dugaw); his wife Andi Lynn Kendall; and his son William Hanson Jr. (Jeni Wang).

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lakewood (5400 112th St SW, Lakewood, WA 98499).
