She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Lawrence and Jeannette Lawrence; her brother Melvin James Lawrence Jr. (James Lee McCormick); and her son Melvin James McCormick. She is survived by: her husband James Lee McCormick; her daughter Lisa Anne McCormick Matthews (Randy) of Yakima; her grandson Hunter Matthews (Cassie Kay) of Ellensburg; and her aunt Yvonne Shuel.
Although she was stricken with Alzheimer's in her later years, she always had a twinkle in her eyes when her two greatest joys would come to visit her.
