He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Craig Hawkey, Sr. and Betty Lou Erickson (Erickson-Hawkey); and his stepfather Larry Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ayers; his children, Emily Worthey (Josh Williamson) and Rob Hawkey (Sarah Wassell); his granddaughter Finn Worthey; his siblings, Larry "Butch" Burgess (Diane) and Sandy Withrow (Peter Wyrick); his aunt Donna Rumsey; and his cousin Nancy Mayer (Rick). He is also survived by several cousins and nieces.
