He was predeceased by : his parents, Bert Hastings and Hildred Hastings. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Hastings; his children, Debra L. Hastings Marthaller of Spokane and Dale (Michele Hastings) of Newport; and his step-daughters, Cheryl Sample-Reese (Gary) of Cusick and Becky Walrath (Ray) of Usk. He is also survived by numerous relatives from Utah and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, family and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pease Cemetery (1201 Pease Rd, Usk, WA 99180). A reception was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post #217 (105 Timber St, Cusick, WA 99119).
