She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Davis and Hattie Davis; her husband Romeo; and her son Jay. She is survived by: her daughters, JoAnn Powers and Maria Halstead (Christopher); and her grandchildren, Stephen (Theodore), Camille and Charlotte. She is also survived by three sisters, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
