Though Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Banister and Audie Banister. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hardman; and his children, Brent Banister (Kayla) of Omaha, Bruce Banister (Cristina) of Walla Walla, Brian Banister (Lara) of Boise, Laurinda McCracken (John) of Spokane and Lanita Cole (Gary) of Vancouver. He is also survived by 9 grandsons and 6 granddaughters, and 5 great-grandsons.
