He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald "Sonny" Aalvik and Nancy Aalvik (Meresse). He is survived by: his wife Veronika (Vera); his siblings, Jeffery (LuAnn), Yvette (Jim McCartney) and Erik (Danielle); his children, Krista Aalvik, Isha Aalvik, Aaryn Reiff and Zakory Aalvik; his stepchildren, Savannah Blair and Daven Solis; and his grandchildren, Sarah and Sawyer.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his honor to The American Cancer Society.
