It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Gene Moore of Vancouver, Washington, who passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leroy Gene Moore to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Moore (Ken) and Roberta Moore; his wife Joan; his children, Melissa, Ken, Steve and Ryan; his children-in-law, Todd, Karen and Jamie; his grandchildren, Jena of Braden, CJ, Chase, Mia and Riley; and his siblings, Jim Moore, MaryLou Grimsted, Beverly McKinney and David Moore.

Donations may be made in Gene's honor to the Ray Hickey Hospice Home, where Gene died peacefully, surrounded by love, and with faith that he is going to heaven to be with his parents.

“Joan, Steve, Jamie, Ryan, and the entire family, Nancy and I are saddened to hear of Gene’s passing. I had the pleasure of teaching with Gene at Wy’East and appreciate his football expertise and coaching style. What an incredible role model for students and assistant coaches. My wife’s mother, the late Helen Gervais, and Dr. Larry Gervais enjoyed visits to their dental office. Always willing to help, Gene could be seen volunteering his help at track meets or wherever needed. Mike Burdick”
