She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ulysses and Alene Mertis Blanchard (Hicks) of Metropolis; her former husband Virgil Lee Portwood of Metropolis; her siblings, Lucille Hoover of Springfield, IL, Eula Mae Smith (Clutts) of Albany, GA and Robert Ulysses Blanchard, Jr. of Springfield, IL; and her nephew Michael Lee Clutts of North Carolina.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ann Thompson of Vancouver, WA, Beverly Ann Griesemer (Colorado Springs) of Florissant and Robert Lee Portwood of Tallahassee, FL; her granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Porter of Portland, OR and Heather Ann Smith of Portland, OR; her great grandchild Phoenix Alexandra Smith of Portland, OR; and her cousin Steven Cochran of Metropolis, IL.
