He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Lee Banks and Mitchell Tyrone Ford Sr.; his sister Maxine Ford; his niece Sherise Ford; and his first love Mary Lowe.

He is survived by: his children, Mitchell Ford Ill (Deadera), Tyrone Ford, Monique Alexander (Jason) and Ebonye Crawford (Cedric); and his siblings, Verna Banks, Dolores Dallard, Mary Evans, Kerby Banks and Stanley Ford. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
