We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 93, Carol Y. Hanson (Walla Walla, Washington) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Carol may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sons, Jim, Brendon, Jordan and Allyson; and her great grandchildren, Brendon, Jordan (Oliver) and Allyson (Jay). She was also cherished by 3 sons; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Living on the same street as Jerry (and Georgia), Calvin and Carol navigated Covid unscathed and lived out their lives with sons and grandchildren circulating through to keep life functioning around them. Friday nights, Carol could fulfill her basic need to feed somebody, and the traditional bean soup dinner was a culinary foundation emblematic of her simple loving care.
