We announce the death of Herbert Lee Waters of Walla Walla, Washington, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 94. Herbert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest F Waters and Mable Fisher Waters; his wife Roberta I Decker (Bertie); and his son David Waters (Anna May). He is survived by: his former wife Anna May Radke; his children, Vicky Edwards (Jim), Lisa Waters, Lori Young (Lorin) and Steve Waters (Marlo); his daughter-in-law Debbie Waters Ware; his sister Juanita Tupper (Merlin); and his grandchildren, Herb, Jim II, Andy, Matt, Jennifer, Dustin, Jill and Thor. He is also survived by his 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Heubach Chapel of the Walla Walla University Church (212 SW 4th St, College Place, WA 99324).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Columbia Adventist Academy Worthy Student Fund.
