He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Klassen and Eunice Klassen; his grandfather Cornelius Klassen; his brothers, Harold, Wally and Ted; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Kilcup and John Saint Vincent.
He is survived by: his uncle Ralph Klassen; his cousins, Richard and Jerry Giesbrecht; his children, Ben Klassen (Colleen), Sharon Read (James), Shelah Nicoara (Sebastian) and Janna Porter (Mark); and his siblings, Charles Klassen (Sallye), Trudy Saint Vincent, Cathy Hadley (Ed) and Martha Rochon (Rob). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
