We are sad to announce that on March 15, 2025, at the age of 91, Wilma May Hepker (Walla Walla, Washington) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Wilma May shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Wilma May farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jones and Novella Jones (Anderson); and her husband Dale Hepker. She is survived by: her children, Devin (Wendy Hepker), David (Tami Hepker), Don (Giselle Hepker) and Donna (Hepker); her son-in-law Steve Ellis; her brother Norval; and her sister-in-law Dottie Jones. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

“I am filled with such warm memories of my time with Wilma and her brilliant leadership in Social Work. She welcomed me into the faculty and guided with wisdom and inspiration. Her sense of humor and determination resulted in the development of an amazing Clinical Graduate Social Work program. I remember I walked into her office one day and she said we need your help--we're going to start a graduate program. Ok, when? Next fall! And she led the team to get it done. She was truly gifted!”
