He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Stearns and Arlene Stearns; his wife Sara "Sally" Stearns; and his siblings, Gay Stearns (Inez), Lionel "Pete" Stearns (Hazel), Bill Stearns, Mike Stearns, Peggie Lappe (Keith), Anna Garman (Bob), Hattie Jo Chancellor, Ramona Baker and Bernadine "Bunny" Trottier.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Siverson, Sandi Kirby (David Kirby), Edward Stearns (Stacey Stearns) and Christy Valenzuela (Mario "Mawie" Valenzuela); his siblings, Joe Stearns (Sandy) and Gloria Wallace (Jim); his grandchildren, Nathan Berney, Nicole Mendivil, Lexy Valenzuela, Sydney Stearns, Sawyer Stearns, Tavian Valenzuela, Bree Valenzuela and Landon Valenzuela; and his great grandchildren, Audrey Cuellar, Mikah Cuellar, Maurice Cuellar and Libby Mendivil.
