“As one of my older brothers, Ken, five years older, has always been carried inside me. In many situations, I would wonder what he would say or do. He taught me to play Monopoly, and he enjoyed winning. If we were raking leaves together, he made sure I didn’t slack. Even though we lived 3,000 miles apart after his college graduation, I continued to look up to him as a mentor, figuratively and literally (he was 6 feet 3, I’m 5 feet 7). He will be missed, but his memory still resides inside me.”
