He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Hall Morgan and Alfred Jay Gifford; his wife Diane Warnett Gifford; his children, Gary Blane Gifford and Terri Kennedy; and his grandchild Ryan Gifford.

He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Gifford-Pulver and Lorraine Johnston. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
