It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avery Lynn Garner (Yakima, Washington), born in Pueblo, Colorado, who passed away on June 11, 2022, at the age of 24, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Mary Williams; her grandfathers, James Garner and Willie Townsend; her great-uncles, Donald Delancy and John Green; and her uncle David Garner.
She is survived by: her parents, Adrianne Garner of Yakima and Michael Garner; her siblings, Michael Garner (Kylie) of Yakima and India Garner (Adrianna) of Las Vegas; her grandmothers, Elizabeth Townsend and Ester Huey of Yakima; her godson Tyson; her nephew Kairo of Yakima; her godson Joshua Atkins; her niece Riley Jane of Yakima; her aunts and uncles, Lynetta Saucier (Paul), Felicia Atkins (Gary) of Yakima, Brian Watley of Seattle, Andre Green and Pablo Huey of Yakima; her cousin James Gratton (Margaret) of Seattle; her friends, Christian Rance and Ricky Blakely of Yakima; and also Rev. Robert L. Trimble. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other nieces and nephews, and close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Henry Beauchamp Community Center - Youth Programs, the Yakima County NAACP Youth Council, or YVCF (putting Avery Garner in the memo section) can be sent in care of Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901) who is caring for the family.
