She was predeceased by: her parents, Ina L. Owens (Cochran) and Jesse D. Owens; her husband William Cherry (Bill); her brother James D. Owens; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Taylor and Dale Beard; her nephew Vic Beard; and her nieces, Chloe Eddines and Chantelle Dobbs.

She is survived by: her sisters, Mary A. Beard and Sharon K. Taylor. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
