He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Venter and Wanda Van De Venter; and his brother Darrell Van De Venter (Lorraine). He is survived by: his sister Mari Lynne Hagel (Jim); and his sister-in-law Kathy Van De Venter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He would catch and release because Don didn't like to eat fish but if he saw someone he thought was fishing for food he would donate his fish to his fellow fisherman!
