It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jean Leavens in Yakima, Washington, who passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Doral and Lorena McCartney (Romig); her brother Roland "Lefty" Leavens; her son Peter Benjamin; her sons-in-law, Jeffrey Arce and Michael Adkins; and her grandson Samuel Adkins.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Arce of Salmon, ID, Teri Adkins of Williamsburg, VA, Tami Hesselgesser (Todd) of Selah, WA, Kara Hanna (James) of Blackfoot, ID, Paul Leavens (Amy) of Snohomish, WA and Stephen Leavens (Susan) of Pasco, WA; her half-sisters, Ruth Ann Cice and Debbie Johnston of Canton, OH.; her sister Caroline "Susie" Suttle; and her half-sister Marlene Ward. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.
