He is survived by: his wife Sandra Forrest of Yakima; his brother Fred Forrest of Rainier, OR; his children, Patrick Forrest of Yakima, Dodie Forrest of Yakima, Christopher Forrest (Bill) of Seattle and Sally Forrest of Yakima; his grandchildren, Jesse Forrest (Emma) of Issaquah, Naomi Forrest (Kevin) of Richland, Raihei Sato (Edi) of San Marcos, CA, Shohei Sato (Hannah) of New York, NY and Macaden Forrest of Pullman; his great grandchildren, Twilah McAdam (Catherine) of Ellensburg and Adelaide Forrest of Issaquah; Keisha Smith of Union Gap.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St Paul Cathedral (15 S 12th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Cathedral (15 S 12th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tahoma Cemetery (1802 Tahoma Ave, Yakima, WA 98902).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Paul Cathedral, Heartlinks Hospice, or the Yakima Humane Society.
