She was predeceased by: her parents, James Barnes and Edith Barnes; her husband David Bernath (Dave); and her sisters, Nancy Conley, Pat Holmes and Catherine Barnes.
She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Radke of Silverdale, WA and Delores Garic of Thornton, CO; her children, David Bernath (Marie) of Spanaway and Stacy West (Mel) of Tacoma; and her grandson Brandon Bernath. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, July 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the FIR Lane Memorial Park (924 E. 176th. St., Spanaway, WA 98387). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
