He is survived by: his grandchildren, Lindsey Cruz, Christine Williams (Will), Austin Cruz, Kassy Cruz, Alene Mackey (Carson), Thomas Speer, Wesley Speer (Brooke), Samantha Speer, Melissa, Ben, Natalie, Gabrielle, Alicia, Adam and Jessica Record; his wife Leola Cruz; his children, Maria Smythe (Steve), Deanna Cruz Speer, Leonard Cruz (Esmeralda) and Leo Cruz Jr. (Michelle); his stepchildren, Marvin Record and Barbara Dubell; and his brothers, Leon Jr., Abel and Lupe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
