We announce the death of Moritz Thomas Maier in Yakima, Washington, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 100. Moritz will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Jorene. He is survived by: his children, Tom (Debbi), Bob (Deborah), Dick (Barbie), Steve (Kim), John, Bill (Shelia), Mary (Steve), Joe (Angela) and Kevin (Anna); and his sister Grace. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home (1010 W Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902). A rosary was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (1107 W Fremont Ave, Selah, WA 98942). A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (1405 S 24th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902).
