He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jones and Violet Jones (Zwirchitz); and his sister Janice Sazama. He is survived by: his siblings, Joy Biniok (Jeff), Sandy Walter (Mark), Pam Jones, Ann Belongia (Pat) and Michelle Bronstad (Dale); his wife Karen Peterson; his children, Johanna (Kevin), Adam (Greg), Rachel (Clayton) and Martha; his grandchildren, Keira, Kellan, Liam and Maya; and his caregivers, Julie Wells, Dr. Richard Sloop and Dr. Ross Bethel. He is also survived by his loving family and his many friends.

He had a great sense of humor and an unshakeable faith – both of which sustained him as his Parkinson's disease progressed.
