Jim Jakel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Jakel of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Jakel and Kathryn Jakel (Prohaska) of Curtiss; and his brothers, Chuck and Tom. He is survived by: his wife Jenny; his daughters, Sarah Hackel (Eric) and Julie Butkus (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Dean and Margaret Hackel; his siblings, Mike Jakel (Sandy) of Dorchester, Paul Jakel (Jean) of Abbotsford, Kathy Katka (Steve) of Albany, MN and Mary Beth "Buffy" Feddick of Abbotsford; and his sister-in-law Karen Jakel of New Lisbon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (1131 N Meridian St, Curtiss, WI 54422). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Pine Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to St. Paul's Parking Lot Fund or Pine Hill Cemetery.
