He was predeceased by : his parents, V. A. Welchel and Sandra Welchel (Smith); his siblings, Bob and Christine; and his father-in-law Joe.

He is survived by : his wife Angela L Delaney of Albany; his mother-in-law Norma Delaney of Albany; his siblings-in-law, Ginger Bond (Orrin) of Evansville, WI, Autumn Edler (Scott) of Pearl City, IL, Gregory Delaney (Denise) of Scottsburg, IN and Allen Delaney (Theresa) of Zanesville, IN; and his nieces and nephews, Robert (Linda), Angie (Rolondo), Adriana (Bill), Deana Mendez (Kelvin), Briana (Caleb) and Karl Schoenhard (Allyson). He is also survived by 20 great nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
