He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Wendelborn and Bonnie Wendelborn; his brother David Wendelborn; and his mother-in-law Carol Schultz-Schaefer. He is survived by: his wife Kim Schultz; his daughters, Savanna Schuette (Dan) and Johnnajo Johnson; his grandchildren, Mason, Chase, Gabriel, Thomas Schuette, Nikolynn, Zoe and Wyatt Johnson; his father-in-law Allan Schultz; his close friend Shawn McCarthy (Bridget); his brother Stephen Wendelborn (Christine); and his friend Mark Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr, West Bend, WI 53095). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr, West Bend, WI 53095). A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family to be used to support Opals 4 ALS and other local ALS families.
