He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Johnson and Louise Johnson (Mikelson); his wife Marlene Garson; and his siblings, Merrill "Bub" (Burma Jean), Orlin "Bill" (Irene), Vernon (Leona) and Betty "Tootie" Lind (Harold).
He is survived by: his children, Scott (Terri), Todd (Becky), Cheri Hugdahl (Jeff), Jerry (Mary) and David (Christine); and his grandchildren, Sara, Melisa (Joel), Jeremy, Josh, Heather (Luke), Crystal (Derrick), Jeffrey Jr., Tabitha (Max), Tiffany (Dale), Emily (Alex), Ben, Abby (Karl), Madeline (Dakota), Meredith, Sophia and Gunnar. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
